Looking good and feeling good drew Ruben to his craft, he now focuses on ensuring that each and every client leaves his chair looking their best. When asked what he likes most about being a barber he said "It's the look of satisfaction on his clients face when they take that first look in the mirror."
Q: What made you want to be a barber at Ball and Buck?
A: It's uniqueness. Ball and Buck is the only one of its kind that I had ever heard of. Such an awesome fusion, (attire/grooming). I couldn't miss out on being a part of history.
Q: What is your favorite style of haircut?
A: Its an honor to see the excitement of my customers when they experience my form of art. My go-to favorite is a skin tight fade, comb over pomp with a hard part. But, every cut is a masterpiece and I'm happy to do any and every style.
Q: Do you have a favorite product or hair recommendation?
A: I recommend using alcohol free pomade or conditioning gel. Alcohol free is very important, to prevent the drying out your scalp and hair. Check out some of the Malin + Goetz Pomade or Styling Cream.
Q: When your not cutting hair what do you like to do?
A: I spend time with my daughter and family. We go fishing. I LOVE to fish.
Q: What is your favorite type of food?
A: Cachapa, which are Venezuelan pancakes. These corn pancakes can be intense with fillings or just loaded with Queso de Mano.
