Our waxed jacket has a game pocket, and we’re damn proud of it. It’s accessible from both sides of the jacket through solid brass YKK zippers and lined in a waterproof blaze orange material allowing it to be easily rinsed out when the duty calls. But it’s not the incredible design of our game pocket that most excites us about this feature—it’s what having a game pocket on your own jacket tells others about your character.

First and foremost, A game pocket means you’re willing to roll up your sleeves and aren’t afraid to get your hands dirty. It means you are self sufficient. It means you don’t think of yourself better than the other man. And fundamentally it means you’re a person that would rather be prepared, then be unprepared.

So while many jackets may look like ours from the outside, we’d encourage you to be extra careful trusting any company, and any person who doesn’t believe they need their own game pocket.

If you’re someone who’s made the unassuming mistake of purchasing a jacket that doesn’t have a game pocket, we’ll be offering a credit of up to $200 towards the purchase of our award winning upland jacket through August 1st 2020.

We be donating all returned jackets to The Salvation Army, a charity that provides resources to adults struggling with drugs and alcohol.

Donation Process and Criteria:
In order to receive your credit of up to $200 towards the purchase of a new Ball and Buck upland jacket you must send your jacket to

Determining your credit:
Depending on the age and condition of your jacket you can receive up to a $200 credit that can be used on the purchase of a new Ball and Buck Upland Jacket. On average a lightly worn jacket will receive about $150, new jacket $200, and a very worn jacket up to $100. Return jackets accepted include Tom Beckbe®, Barbour®, Filson®, and Orvis®. Other brands may be considered by sending an email to support@ballandbuck.com.

Terms and Conditions:
Jacket must be received in order to issue credit. Credit has no actual cash value. Credit is not guaranteed to be issued based on jacket. If sender decides to have jacket returned instead of converted to credit they must a provide pre-paid shipping label and reusable packaging for return shipping.
