We made sure to overbuild these pants for the long haul with durable Duck Cotton Canvas fabric and bar tack stitching. These hard-working pants feature tailored fit so you have plenty of room without a baggy feel.

The Fit
Our heritage pant uses our 6-Point fit which is a slim straight fit. The pant has approximately 1.5in of taper from the knee to the cuff to provide a modern look without sacrificing comfort. This fit does well on most body types and typically would be go inside if worn with boots.

Classic Style Details
Welt rear pockets, a two-piece waistband that allows for waistband tailoring to loosen or tighten by 1in, and clean taper from the knee down are all built into the design of our heritage pants.
Origins of Coton Duck Fabric
Cotton duck, a sturdy canvas fabric, traces its origins to maritime history. The name derives from the Dutch "doek," meaning linen canvas. When imported linen supplies were disrupted, American mills turned to cotton as a readily available alternative, with Seth Bemis's Watertown, Massachusetts mill pioneering American-manufactured cotton sail duck.
Initially prized for ship sails due to its water and fire resistance, cotton duck's applications quickly expanded. By the mid-1800s, its exceptional durability made it essential for tents, workwear, and outdoor equipment. The fabric even served as the foundation for early duct tape.
Cotton duck's tight weave creates remarkable resistance to abrasion and tearing while providing natural water resistance. This versatility has sustained its relevance across industries—from artist canvases to camping gear to sneakers. Classified by weight from light to heavy varieties, cotton duck remains a testament to functional design: a fabric built to endure, protect, and perform across generations of demanding use.
