our humble beginnings
From my earliest memories afield with my grandfather, I absorbed the lessons only the outdoors could teach. Those sunrise hunts weren't just outings—they were transformative moments where I inherited my four generations of sporting wisdom. This profound connection to the outdoors inspired me to create Ball and Buck, preserving these values and enabling others to forge the same meaningful connections that shaped my life.

The Ball and Buck Legacy
The name Ball and Buck pays homage to the American Revolutionary War, where George Washington instructed his troops to load their muskets with 'buck and ball.' I flipped it to 'Ball and Buck' as my revolutionary stance against disposable products. At Ball and Buck, we don't create products. We craft legacies – the highest quality outdoor gear on earth.

our revolutionary approach
Every stitch, every material, every decision is intentional. There are no frills – only purpose-driven function. At every crossroads in development, we face a choice: make it cheaper to increase profits, or make it better to serve you. We always choose better.

Built to be passed down
Our products don't just survive time – they improve with it. Because of their durability and longevity, Ball and Buck products provide more than just utility – they become a canvas, a living journal of your most cherished memories.
When you eventually pass these items down to the next generation, you're not just giving them gear – you're giving them your story, your experiences, your legacy embedded in the very fibers of the material.

intentionally overbuilt
We overbuild where others cut corners – reinforced seats to prevent blowouts, solid forged D-rings instead of cheaper split rings, large uncut panels that eliminate vulnerable seams despite creating more waste and higher costs.

At 12.29oz with over 190 yarns per square inch, it achieves an exceptional durability-to-weight ratio while remaining pure cotton—developing a beautiful patina over time unlike its modern synthetic replacement, Cordura. Water repellent and mildew resistant by nature, this remarkable fabric honors its military heritage while standing ready for your most demanding adventures.

Every pair of our pants features double-reinforced seats—field pants with military-spec Cordura®, other styles with specialized reinforcements. This strategic construction targets the most vulnerable wear area, doubling lifespan where ordinary pants fail. It's our commitment to heirloom-quality apparel for all adventures.
