Our Field Pant begins with extremely durable 12.29 oz military spec cotton canvas intended to last for years of heavy use. The front legs and lower calfs are reinforced with 8.25 oz Shelter Wax to protect the most exposed areas. Water, wind, brush, and thorns are simply no match.

Every single stress point is reinforced with bar tack stitching and rivets for extreme durability. We used the most trusted YKK solid brass zipper and hardware including a permanent shank button at the waist that won't pop off like a traditional button. Our most discerning wing shooters will appreciate the snap closure front pockets to secure your stuff and prevent seeds, brush, and debris from getting in.

We wanted to give our bulletproof yet traditional Field Pants an updated, modern straight leg fit that isn't too baggy, but allows full boot coverage at the bottom hem. With longevity in mind, we left 2" of extra material in the waist band for easy letting in or out for some adjustability over the years if your weight fluctuates. There's also 1" of additional material in the bottom leg for easy lengthening and shortening for the perfect fit.

So why waxed cotton? We want your pants to last decades, not just a few seasons. Waxed cotton is extremely versatile and has its advantages over synthetic field pants in many environments, particularly warm and moderate fall temperatures where breathability is key. The beautiful thing about waxed cotton is that a breathable waterproof membrane is formed once the wax is absorbed into the cotton fibers. In a way, waxed cotton is like leather. You'll have to earn your fit, but it will truly be the finest fitting pants you own because waxed cotton will patina with time in the field.
