The Pica Zuro Lodge is a traditional estancia located a short
drive away from a variety of hunting fields. Every element of the
experience was top notch. From the 5-star meals to the accommodations and even
an awesome heated out door plunge pool it was a unique kind of luxury hunting
experience. Days started off with the gentle knock of the groundskeeper
who woke us from our deep sleeps. A made to order breakfast was enjoyed
at our own pace then we boarded the Mercedes Sprinter van to head to the
morning field. Due to the extensive farming in the region, we had the
opportunity to try a wide variety of hunting locations. From thick brush to open sunflower fields each sit was met with different views but the same incredible
numbers of dove.
Hunting the fence line between farm fields and the forest behind. Alex was sporting our 100% merino wool commando sweater which was perfect for the cooler weather with intermittent periods of rain
On this particular morning there was a steady light rain all day so I zipped up the upland jacket and secured the storm cuffs around my deerskin gloves. The system kept me dry without limiting mobility a true testament to its design.
As with all my hunting trips, there's no better part than getting to spend time with great company. Looking forward to getting out with these gents again soon.
