Ball and Buck has partnered with Abel Reels, the company that holds more records than any other fly fishing company on the planet, to create a limited edition collaboration on their classic reel, nippers, zinger, and pliers.
Abel Reels has spent years trying to modernize and perfect the most ubiquitous tool found on virtually every fly fisher's vest: the zinger. Used to hold nippers, clippers, de-barbing pliers, fly floatant, scissors or magnifying glasses within easy reach on a retractable spool, these tools have been most notable for breaking or falling apart at the most inopportune time. Not anymore.
The Abel x Ball and Buck Zinger is made from the same aerospace grade aluminum as our collaboration reel and features a 36" spectra-nylon retractable cord that can withstand up to 40 lbs of force. It has an "S" carabiner and can be attached to your fishing vest or the D-ring on your favorite Ball and Buck Anorak. It also has an alternate pin attachment system so you can attach your zinger directly onto your clothing for easy access anytime you are on the water.
