Video: PF Flyers X Ball and Buck Collaboration Shoe
Posted by The Editors on

We wanted to collaborate with PF Flyers for a number of reasons. To begin with, we’re both Boston-based companies that stress the importance of quality manufacturing and an active outdoor lifestyle with military roots. But mostly, their sneakers are awesome and our new kicks are no exception.

The new Made in USA Center Lo sneaker combines performance, classic design and premium, durable materials. Heavily weighed design decisions all come together to form a shoe that’s not only comfortable and handsome, but carries a discreet nod towards military history.

A tan stripe of Ball and Buck’s signature 12.29 oz canvas, used in WWII as tent material, lies against a field of white ballistic nylon Cordura. Military styling with classic inclinations will appeal to the sneakerheads of today who appreciate form, function and the meaning behind the shoe.

Mark Bollman, founder of Ball and Buck, noted, “Four years ago we were honored when PF asked us to be their launch partner for the debut of their Made in USA collection that had been out of production for over 40 years. Now we couldn’t be more excited to be partnering up again for the unique collaboration. The shoe itself draws inspiration from the incredible heritage of PF, a brand that produced shoes for the Armed Forces back in World War II.”

The shoe has not only been crafted for comfort and durability with a performance insert and a DESMA injected polyurethane midsole, but was made entirely in Boston. Throw them on with denim or a more work casual outfit, the neutral palette works well with everything already in your closet in addition to any season. It’s not every day you can cop a sneaker that’s been designed to look cool even as it ages over the years.
