Built with 100% waxed cotton with an 8oz original camo lining under the brim and an adjustable leather band. American-made in Dallas, in a run of 76 to mark the nation's founding in 1776. Two and a half centuries of material history all encapsulated in one hat.
Waxed cotton has earned its keep since the 19th century when it was first rubbed onto sailcloth with grease and fish oil to shed seawater. It was later refined into the dry-waxed finish carried by British shepherds, gamekeepers, and upland hunters that has been valued for it's ability to shed rain. A material that softens with wear, waxed cotton records a memory every field it's carried through.
